FF7FS Surf of the Water God event starts 7/19

Leviathan is on the loose in Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier during the 'Surf of the Water God' event, starting 07/19!

Grab your swim trunks and your flippy floppies as a watery hazard zone and random fountains will make their appearance throughout Midgar. To help you navigate the surf there will be random lockers on the map with special effect swimwear that will give you the power of an accessory! Be careful though as after you take 300 damage the effects will be removed. As with most events there will be medals to collect, challenges to complete, and new skins in the shop.

Additionally there are a few private match and balance adjustments included. Private matches now have a new 'short match' mode which has a faster shrinking training zone and you can now turn on/off individual items. Adjustments include a Ranger reload buff, Machinist gadget fix and a Dual Wheeler buff.

After the massive sweat-fest that was Blitz Mode 2.0, this will be a nice, chill, event with some fun challenges to enjoy. It will be interesting to see how the fountains are utilizied, as it could make for some exciting arial battles. The balance adjustments seem bland and I doubt will make a difference in gameplay, but the 'short match' mode in Private Matches could be a lot of fun and could spice up the BR mode. What I'm the most hyped about though, is the swimwear! No, seriously. I'm hoping it's not just a one time gimmick but rather a sly way to test out what the game would be like with TWO accessory slots (as you will be able to have an accessory and the swimwear bonus active). This is an addition that has been talked about for some time and I feel could really shake up the meta for a possible season 4 reveal...fingers crossed!

extended distance in the direction you are facing.

Watery Hazard Zone!

Change into event-exclusive swimwear to

reduce hazard zone damage by 50%.

Swimwear has been placed in the different locations to help you through the

phenomenon. Obtain a locker key and change into event-exclusive swimwear.

Each type of event-exclusive swimwear has the effect of an accessory.

Once you take a total of 300 damage, effects will be removed, so tread

carefully!

• Peach- Talisman

• White- Cat's Bell

• Black- Fortune Ring

Collect Water God Medals for Water God Packs!

Water God Medals appear throughout the training field. The medals you gather during a match will be automatically carried with you out of the match. Consume a set number of medals to draw a Water God Pack!
